* Executed $20M in highly competitive Information Operations contracts and uncovered new business opportunities in Computer Network Attack, Defense, and Exploitation. Developed and executed technical plans that exceeded the customer’s cost, schedule, and performance goals while negotiating within the company for appropriate engineering talent, capital equipment, and facilities. Managed more than 35 engineers across multiple contracts with multiple customers. Introduced distributed teams and management structure to employ high-cost assets used for concurrent projects. Developed User Acceptance Test plans and procedures as well as corresponding after action reports. Customer representative in agile/iterative development environment with regular customer interface. Key role in the business team that developed P&L plans associated with facilities expansion, long term asset sharing agreements, and capital expenditures.
* Wrote and refactored penetration software for dynamic computer network attack testing based on reverse engineered protocols (using tools such as Wireshark) and on standards documents that included TCP/IP and proprietary protocols. Integrated Product Team Leader/Programs Manager – Computing Infrastructure 

* Successfully managed a $50M contract with a geographically distributed integrated product team of more than 40 engineers and contractors building an airborne, theater-wide centralized Battle Management Command and Control system. Architecture designer for computing infrastructure solution. Ultimately responsible for providing technically mature systems within cost and schedule constraints.
* Chaired Technical Risk Management board. Developed “phase in” strategies to mitigate risks associated with server and software COTS technologies. Many of the extreme performance systems that we required were not yet commercially available within the Size, Weight, and Power (SWAP) constraints of the airborne platform. My contributions included developing risk mitigation and integration plans that provided near term testing on available platforms and drop in replacements when viable COTS solutions became available. In this role, long term versus short term impact, cost impact and schedule impact had to be recognized and evaluated.

Technical Engineering Manager/Talent Management – Network Operation 

* Managed the Operations and Maintenance group providing the 24×7 Network Operations Center help desk and deployment and integration services for a worldwide, highly secure, high availability IP and telephony network. The Combat Air Force Distributed Mission Operations Network (CAF/DMO-DMT) provides low latency integration services for deployed simulator assets.
* Performed on-site Engineering, Furnish, and Installation Service (EF&I) for telecommunications network build-outs. This leveraged my familiarity with demarcation points, wiring closets, and ability to coordinate with vendors.

Senior Systems Engineer – Wireless systems 

* Senior Systems Engineer for DARPA NEST/SOCOM wireless sensor network solution in a Lead Systems Integrator role. Proximal and stand-off sensors included acoustic, seismic, magnetic, infrared, and image. Program goals were to “bring to market” a comprehensive off-the-shelf Track Management solution.
* Architecture designer for transitioning wireless product from demonstration program to marketed solution. Primary point of contact and negotiator for vendors, manufacturers, subcontractors, and customers. Ultimately responsible for requirements specifications, project planning, systems integration, field testing, assessment reports, project cost, schedule, and product technical performance.
* Proposal writer and technical integrator for SOCOM, DARPA, and other business pursuit efforts. These $2M to $50M contracts included wireless and wired computing technology solutions, Operations and Maintenance solutions, wearable computing solutions, and wireless sensor network solutions.

* Tested commercial grade WiFi equipment for security, interoperability, distance, and interference limitations for deployment within high-traffic environments including hotels and other business establishments. Testing was especially focused on interference limitations because of the non-controlled nature of the environments.
* Designed Local Exchange Carrier and Customer Premise integration test beds for commercial network deployments. These test beds required OSHA compliance and employed test equipment including FIREBERD communications analyzers, protocol analyzers, oscilloscopes, cable testers, and standardized endpoint devices.
* Wrote embedded assembly line software system for Case IH Agriculture and Farm Equipment final acceptance testing that included an electrical interface test bed with frequency, pressure, and temperature transducers.
